The Hot Literati Rating System
For a while, I haven't been comfortable throwing numerical ratings at books, films, music, restaurants, etc because they have felt arbitrary and not fair. But now, as I'm a bit older, better traveled, and cemented in my own personal taste, I wanted to introduce a rating system that could provide a sort of constant across Hot Literati. Here is the rating system I've developed below.

The Four Categories (rated out of 5 hearts):
- Quality/Craft - How well-made is it? Technical execution, attention to detail, skill level
- Memorability - Will it stick with you? Lasting impact, unforgettable moments
- Enjoyment - How much fun/pleasure did you get from it? Pure visceral reaction
- Originality - Is it fresh, unique, or does it bring something new to the table?
Overall Rating - Average across all categories //
