The Pros at the Parliament

Good morning, Hot Literati!

I've been quietly locking myself in a room trying to finish my mansucript and honestly having such a great time. Feeling like Proust with his corkscrew walls.

But, even Proust stepped outside for a good party and last night, I was invited to a very fun one for the U.S. open.

I took my copy of Swann's Way on the train with me to head to Midtown. The moment I pushed through the revolving doors into the lobby of The Parliament at The Benjamin Royal Sonesta, I knew it was going to be a good time.

The room was filled with lush, green decor, the bar had tennis themed cocktails complete with melon toppers, and the Tennis Players were tall, beaming, and present.

Elena Rybakina, Flavio Cobolli, Karen Khachanov, Matteo Arnaldi, and Paula Badosa were all in attendance. They made custom ice cream sundaes in these giant bowls in front of eager fans.

The winning sundae will be available on the menu at The Parliament for the rest of the week.

As the Pros lined up for photos, I slipped outside, back into the quiet summer air to head home, reflecting on whether or not I should practice my serve.
