Contract lines to read twice
A few short clauses decide most of what a deal is really worth.
- 1Payment terms: “Net 30” means they pay 30 days after your invoice. Know when the money actually arrives.
- 2Rights: who owns what you make, and for how long.
- 3Exclusivity and radius clauses: a show may stop you playing nearby for weeks before and after.
- 4Cancellation and kill fees: what you’re paid if they back out.
