Gesture is the movement of a pose, caught quickly. It makes figures feel alive.

1. 1Start with one curved line for the spine: the line of action.
2. 2Add the head as an oval, then quick lines for the arms and legs.
3. 3You have thirty seconds. Don’t draw hands, faces or clothes.
