A line that doesn’t wobble
Every drawing is made of lines. A confident line comes from your shoulder, not your wrist.
- 1Put two dots on the page.
- 2Hover your pencil above the paper and move it from one dot to the other a few times without touching. This is called ghosting.
- 3Then draw it in one quick stroke, moving from your elbow and shoulder.
- 4Fast lines are straighter than slow ones. Don’t go back over it.
Try it today
Fill a page with 50 lines between dots: short, long, and at every angle.
