Lesson 8 of 12 · 15 min
One-point perspective
Why far things look small. With one point, you can draw a street, a hallway or a room.
- 1Draw a horizontal line across the page. That’s the horizon, at your eye level.
- 2Put one dot on it: the vanishing point.
- 3Every line that goes straight away from you heads to that dot. Lines across stay horizontal, and up-and-down lines stay vertical.
Try it today
Draw a street that goes away from you, with buildings on both sides, doors and windows.
