Shading a ball

Light on a sphere teaches you how light works on everything.

1. 1Pick where the light comes from. The side facing it is the light side.
2. 2The core shadow is the darkest band, where the form turns away from the light.
3. 3Past it, a little reflected light bounces back up from the table.
4. 4The cast shadow sits on the table and is darkest right where the ball touches it.
