E minor
About 4 minutes
E minor is the friendliest first chord: two fingers, and all six strings ring.
Put your middle finger on the 2nd fret of the A string and your ring finger on the 2nd fret of the D string. Press just behind the fret wire, not on top of it.
Strum all six strings. Then pluck them one by one and listen for any string that sounds dull. Arch your fingers a little more until each one rings.
