Tuning up

About 3 minutes

Standard tuning from the thickest string to the thinnest is E, A, D, G, B, E. One way to remember it: Eddie Ate Dynamite, Good Bye Eddie.

Pluck one string, let it ring, and watch the needle. Tighten the peg to bring a flat note up, loosen it if the note is sharp. Always finish by tuning up to the note, so the string holds.

In tune means within five cents. A cent is a hundredth of a half step, small enough that most ears can not hear it.

The open strings, low to high.

Tune all six strings

To pass: all six strings within five cents. The mic listens only while you play, and nothing is recorded.
