Hearing progressions
About 6 minutes
A progression is a path through chords. I, IV, V, I feels like leaving home and coming back. I, V, vi, IV keeps circling. ii, V, I is the gentle landing jazz musicians love.
Listen for the moment of arrival. When the I chord comes back, you feel your feet touch the ground.
