Bungalow 8
The story
Bungalow 8 never officially closed. When Amy Sacco shut the doors of her Chelsea nightclub in 2009, she cited renovations — the same excuse she'd used every year — and simply never reopened. That ambiguity was always part of the atmosphere. Sacco had converted a small garage in 2001, decorated it after the bungalows at The Beverly Hills Hotel, and installed a strict no-photography rule that made it safe for George Clooney, Bill Clinton, and David Beckham to share a room. Its peak ran 2005 to 2007. LDV Hospitality quietly purchased the brand in 2012.
