The story

Jean-Georges once held three Michelin stars, a height few American restaurants have touched. Named for its owner Jean-Georges Vongerichten, it opened on the lobby level of the Trump International Hotel and Tower at 1 Central Park West and accumulated honors relentlessly — four New York Times stars, multiple James Beard awards, an AAA Five Star Award every year since 1998. The Michelin Guide now counts it among the top five French restaurants in the Americas. It still holds two stars, still draws the faithful, still insists that the Upper West Side is a serious address.
