Per Se
The story
The blue door at Per Se's entrance is not an accident — it is a deliberate echo of the blue door at Thomas Keller's French Laundry in Napa Valley, a quiet signal that both rooms belong to the same imagination. Keller opened Per Se in February 2004, bringing that California sensibility to the fourth floor of what is now the Deutsche Bank Center at Columbus Circle. Designer Adam Tihany wove those references throughout the space. Every year since the New York Michelin Guide launched in 2006, the restaurant has held three stars — an unbroken record that still defines the city's highest table.
