Zach Feuer Gallery
The story
Zach Feuer started out on a fourth floor on 26th Street in Chelsea, not even carrying his own name — the gallery was called LFL, founded in 2000 with partners Nick Lawrence and Russell LaMontagne. When Feuer bought them out in 2004, he renamed it and kept moving: to 24th Street, then to the Dia Art Foundation's old space on 22nd Street, then to the Lower East Side after merging with Joel Mesler in 2015. Along the way it showed Dana Schutz, Nathalie Djurberg, and Jon Rafman, and ran historical exhibitions of Corita Kent. It closed in 2016.
